Food here he comes!!

Andrew went to see the surgeon today and he has a small hole in the roof of his mouth near his front teeth. We were concerned because liquid was coming out of his nose but the doctor said it would be okay. On Monday he can start eating and take off his splints. He has been such a trooper, I don't think I could have done as well. I know I can't, I had to do liquids before my Lap Band surgery for 10 days and I thought I was going to die.

Well we are headed to the Zoo tomorrow so we can see the Monkeys and the Mingos (aka Flamingo). We are very excited about going, we will go first thing in the morning is suppose to be hot tomorrow.

Please pray for our pastor Jason Webb and his family. His father passed away after a battle with cancer.

Happy Birthday Robin!!!!

Until next time, may God bless you!!!

Improving Every Day

Just a update to let everyone know that Andrew is doing well. Had a follow up appointment Tuesday and the surgeon said everything looks good. He was very concerned that he bleed so many days out after his surgery said he may has some type of bleeding disorder. ???? 2 more weeks of liquids and boy is that hard on him. He goes to the refrigerator and points to the things he can have. (it is kind of cute)
Please keep sending up prayers. And thanks you so much for the many prayers that have been sent up already.

Praising Him in All Things!

Emergency

When Rickey got up yesterday morning he found Andrew in a BIG POOL of blood. He was sound asleep and we could not tell where the blood was coming from. Nicholas and Rickey took him to the emergency room @ Self Regional Healthcare and they began to work on him. Bridgette was waiting on them when they arrived. Jennifer came to the house to get Barbee Ruth and went to the hospital with me. After several hours and phone calls to the doctors in Spartanburg they decided to admit him and watch him. When we got to his room the bleeding seemed to be getting worse and Andrew was as white as a ghost. They decided to take him to surgery to find out where the blood was coming from. After about 45 mins the doctor came out and said he found the problem and Andrew would be fine. PTL!!!!!

We spent the night in the hospital and Andrew is doing so good now. Again we had a very stressful day but our God was in control and again he has answered our prayers. God's grace is wonderful !!!! After this ordeal Andrew is even more precious to us then before. Everyday I loved EACH one of my children more and more, the big ones and the little ones. I feel so BLESSED to be the mother to 4 wonderful children.

CLEFT PALATE NO MORE

Well we have one more thing behind us now. Andrew had surgery to repair his cleft palate on Monday and has done really well. He was such a trooper, he hardly cried at all. I don't know that I would have done as well as he has. He is having a hard time with the liquid diet and not brushing his teeth. He had to melt downs today because he wanted cheese puffs and wanted to brush his teeth.
God has been so good to answer our prayers and allow this to go so very smooth. It is amazing how much Andrew is learning, just this week he is saying complete sentences. So he told all them at the hospital if he didn't want something he would say "I don't want that" and shake his head and hand. He is also saying "I'll be right back". Now I know they are not big sentences but it is a start. Please keep him in your prayers as he heals. "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the people. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies." Psalm 57: 9-10

Andrew's first beach trip!!

We had a great time at Folly Beach it is about 25 minutes from Nicholas apartment. We stayed on the beach for about 4 hours and the kids had so much fun. Barbee Ruth loves the beach and we weren't sure if Andrew would. Well he LOVED it, was not afraid of the water or waves. Both of them got right in that cold water. I think they played better today then they have since Andrew came home. I told Rickey we needed to move so we would be close to the beach. Well we know that won't happen. Well at least we can come down for the weekend ever now and again.
